| | Neppure se immaginassi di essere quel custode dei Cretesi,
nè Ladas o l’alipede Perseo,
neppure se fossi trasportato dal volo di Pegaso,
né se mi trasportassero le bianche e veloci cavalle di Reso,
aggiungi inoltre gli esseri dai piedi alati ed i volatili,
e cerca contemporaneamente il corso dei venti ,
che mi dedicassi dopo averli tutti uniti, o Camerio:
tuttavia cercandoti ansiosamente,o amico,
sarei spossato in tutte le viscere e
mi struggerei in molti languori.
